Uniting and Rising!
Tuesday, April 2nd, 6:30 pm
OUR APRIL MEETING will feature a conversation with 2 district court judges, the Honorable Larry Fine and the Honorable Carrie Vickery. As both judges preside over domestic violence cases, they will share with us what women need to know to navigate the judicial system. Questions from participants will be written to provide anonymity and specific cases may not be addressed, This will be a rich program full of key information. If you are NOT a victim of domestic violence, someone you know is. Invite your hairdresser! She sees and hears a lot from clients who may be abused. If you like, bring a snack to share.
Please note the new time: in response to many requests, we are now starting our meetings a half-hour earlier.
- When: Tuesday, April 2nd at 6:30 pm
- Where: Parkway United Church of Christ, 1465 Irving St, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
Parkway UCC is across the street from Forsyth Tech’s main campus. Here’s a link to the Google map. If you’re headed west on Silas Creek Parkway, it’s a simple right turn on Irving and the parking lot is immediately on your right. Driving east on Silas Creek, you can either pass Miller St. and take a U-turn at the DMV to follow the above directions, *or* you can turn left onto Miller Street, right on Boone and another right on Irving; the church driveway will be on your left just before Silas Creek Parkway.
