Triad NOW is taking a break from meetings for the foreseeable future. That doesn’t mean we’ve completed our work, sadly, far from it. However, there are many ways for you to be engaged in feminist action in 2024!
It’s an election year
… and we desperately need more women, especially feminist women and men – in the N.C. General Assembly. This year, consider working at the polls (the Elections Commission is always looking for poll judges) or volunteering to work on a campaign. IN FACT – two of Triad NOW’s chapter members are running for General Assembly this year, and they would LOVE your help!
Vivian Fulk is running for House District 91. Visit her website at www.medleymeadows.com to learn more and volunteer.
Amy Taylor North is running for House District 74. Visit her website at northfornc.com to learn more and volunteer.
Speaking of elections, NC NOW has a PAC! Please consider contributing to the NC NOW PAC to support candidates who are strong on NOW’s issues. If you’d like to help interview the many candidates interested in our endorsement, visit ncnowpac.org and fill out the interest form on that page. There are lots of great candidates running, and without a good interview team, we might not get to talk to them all.
Stay connected
Stay up to date on action at the state level at NC NOW’s website, northcarolinanow.wordpress.com. Our state president sends out timely action information, so while you’re at the website, be sure to subscribe to the newsletter.
Sign up for National NOW’s newsletter, “NOW Hear This!” for weekly updates on issues, actions and news from the National Action Center. You’ll find the email signup box on NOW’s homepage, now.org.
We’re still posting on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/TriadNOW. We’re also still managing chapter memberships. If you’d like to join, or are ready to renew your membership (which includes chapter, state and national), pop on over to the Become a Member page.
Finally, if you’re interested in working with the chapter to return to meetings and to plan local actions, please send a note to president@triadnow.org.
